Excellent service from the staff of Estate of Turtle Bay. Thanks again for all your help.
We love to stay out of the busy city, and are used to driving 30 minutes to get around. We loved staying on the North Side of the island and found this to be centerally located, well maintained and competely relaxing. I would definitely book this unit again and again.
lovely location, great amenities, helpful staff thx
I have stayed at the Condo's before, loved it. This time a few issues. Upstairs toilet ran all the time, downstairs toilet stuck, had to open back to stop flush sometime. Kitchen back left burner bad, lots of ants, bought ant traps for it. Hold behind bedroom door, large pile of tree trash by our car from 8-12 to 8-17, asked when they were going to move it 8-16. (worried about scratching the rental on the sharp wood)so..sorry to say slightly disappointed. :(
Besides ants galore, please check the lack of or need to paint the front door entrance from the inside.
The TV needed to be updated with a DVD player. The Bed comfort was terrible! The lock on the front door was very, very poor. Was never sure if the door was lock or not. The entire condo should have included A/C, not just the one bedroom. Other then those recommendations, it was a nice and clean place to spend the weekend.Mahalo!
The bathtub and shower were below average & disappointing. They were not sealed properly, dirty and taps loose and not sealed to the wall.
Susan gave me a choice of two 1 bedroom w/loft (minus 1 bedroom but "4 stars!" far away from our activity and was completely unsympathatic to the fact that we had a group of 17 condos and that mine was one of the central meeting place (along with 3 adjoining condos). I personally had to locate one on line, reasonably close to our activities but no longer part of the hosting house. No 2 bedroom condods were available at that late date so instead of accommodating 6 guests, they squeezed us into a condo sized for 4 at the same cost, including a 2 BR cleaning charge. Furthermore, they furnished it with only 4 sets of towels. Since there were only 3 of us for the first 3 days and our busy schedule, I did not speak to management until the 3rd day and then it was the weekend. Also, the power breaker tripped in the middle of the night (without running air conditioner or any other appliances) and we had to sleep without a fan during one of the hottest nights in Hawaii because the power box was screwed shut (isn't that a serious violation?) because the lid was broken. To remedy the towel situation, we tried to wash a load and found the dryer broken and the washer questionable. Because I was centrally involved with the activities for our large group, I was not able nor willing to spend our precious time to deal with Turtle Bay Estates. When I checked out I spoke with your manager Maralyn and she expressed regret and said she would look into it and email me. When I got home I found that she had credited me for the overcharge of the cleaning fee and a paltry 5% for all of the above which adds insult to injury. Furthermore, I was asked to return an extra gate card from our group of 17, which I did but they charged Mr Toma (from Japan who did not drive or leave the premises during his stay) of 101 $50 because it did not match the number they assigned him. When I asked who got credit for the extra card I turned in, I got no reply.
Our policy states that we do not guarantee the condo number when you reserve a condo. This is because there are a number of things that can happen that could make that condo unavailable. In this case, condo 46 West was undergoing renovation! This guset could not understand this, and so would not be satisfied with anything we offered her. Any intelligent person can see how one-sided this complaint is. We wish we had space to post our side of dealing with this most uncooperative and complaning woman.
